I make machine-embroidered, textile pictures and hangings and I also paint with acrylic. My work is often executed on canvas or calico but I also sometimes work on other surfaces including hand-made paper. Most of my work reflects the local environment. In particular, the coast of Jersey provides me with a constant source of inspiration.

I create a variety of work that is predominantly painted and stitched. As a featured artist in many textile magazines, including Embroidery, Workbox and Craft and Design, my principal interest is in colour and the vibrancy this creates.

I graduated specialising in embroidered textiles, but I now enjoy a mixed media approach to work, incorporating stitch alongside treated surfaces, wire, metals as well as traditional techniques. I aim to challenge how textiles are viewed by embellishing or reconstructing work, embracing the redefinition and transformation embroidery has undergone. As

I design and make soft toys and gifts from linen and cotton, printed with my fabric designs. All my toys conform to British Safety Standards and are safe for children of all ages. A piece of my work makes a very special gift that is unique, locally handmade and genuinely Jersey.

I make mirrors out of pottery I find on the beach and batik images.
