I do Stock Photography and Reportage, easy to do on a beautiful island like Jersey. I use Ubuntu Linux only, managing and editing photos in free, open-source programs like Darktable and GIMP.

Through painting and photography, my current practice aims to recapitulate the experience of being immersed within nature. Translating experience into expression, I focus specifically on the aesthetic appreciation of the landscape, which has evolved into an articulate understanding of how the mind and eye work when perceiving a scene.

I am a multi-disciplined artist using photography, film, painting, sculpture and performance within my portfolio.

I have variety of photographic work ranging from abstract, painting with light, movement, Kaleidoscope, traditional black and white, even some landscapes! I accept commissions including portraits. I also taught photography for over 20 years and I’m available for tuition.

Karen explores female identity and the body. Her practice embodies contradictions to evoke mixed feelings of beauty and abjection. The work is often site specific responding to a space and time. Karen has a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Drawing & Applied Arts and a Masters in Fine Art.
