Past recipients of funding from Jersey Arts Trust include:

  • Branchage International Film Festival - the festival has become established on the European film festival circuit. It’s attracted talent such as Oscar-winning producer Simon Chinn and award-winning Moon director Duncan Jones, and has received coverage and praise from national publications such as The Guardian, Film4 and Screen International.
  • Jersey Live Music Festival – in 2009, the Jersey Arts Trust helped to fund and facilitate an educational event at Jersey Live, bringing a number of music industry professionals to the island to take part in a panel discussion event. Our relationship with the festival is ongoing and the educational programme is expected to grow each year.
  • Live music promoters Club Kamikaze have brought over an array of international talent with the funding of the Jersey Arts Trust, to firmly establish themselves as a key part of the island’s music scene.
  • Christian Foley, Rap Poet - was funded by the Jersey Arts Trust to compete in the Farrago Poetry UK Slam Championships in the Poetry Café in London, against the country’s top performing poets.
  • Tap Dance Project – we gave underwriting against any losses for a weekend of tap dance workshops, master classes and performances with international dancer Junior Laniyan, which was open to all.
  • Hedley Le Maistre, Robinson Crappaud – a grant was given to cover the production costs of Fortress Island Film’s latest Hedley adventure.
  • Beta Males Picnic – thanks to our help, this talented group of Jersey performers were able to take their show to the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe.
  • Arts in Health Care Trust – the Jersey Arts Trust regularly fund the Arts in Health Care Trust to continue with their important programme of providing visual art and musical performances within health care settings.
  • Red Dot Group - the Jersey Arts Trust provided a grant to cover the venue hire for the Red Dot Group’s inaugural exhibition.
  • Jersey Eisteddfod – we are proud to be one of the key sponsors of the Jersey Eisteddfod, supporting the work they do encouraging the arts throughout the whole community.
